As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for driving growth and revenue in our Ruminant Business Unit. Your primary goal will be to achieve annual Net Sales Targets by implementing a commercial strategy across the region.
The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including feedlot operators, veterinary consultants, and OTC distribution partners. You will need to spend significant time in the field, working closely with customers to understand their needs and develop effective solutions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Strategy and Planning: Conduct quarterly business reviews with key customers, plan upcoming programs, and forecast product usage. Identify new business opportunities across biopharma, technology, and other portfolio areas as required.
* Organisation Management: Collaborate with RUBU over-the-counter regional sales managers and territory sales managers to promote, distribute, and sell our full range of biopharma and technology products.
* Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with new customers, veterinary health professionals, and other key opinion leaders.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have solid prior experience in the livestock or related industries, with technical and/or sales expertise. Experience managing geographically diverse businesses and collaborating across cross-functional and cross-geographical teams is highly desirable. You will also need to have strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
