This role offers the chance to lead and contribute to sustainable economic growth through the management of Queensland’s natural resources. You'll have a key supervisory and coordination role in the State Land and Stock Route Management team, providing leadership across stock route management operations and state land management support functions, including procurement and data management. Working collaboratively across teams and stakeholders, you will help develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategies, and oversee compliance with the Land Act 1994 and Stock Route Management Act 2002.

About The Role
In this role, you will:
Develop strategies for complex problems, find innovative solutions, and provide authoritative strategic and operational advice related to the management of State land and stock routes using highly developed analytical, research, and evaluation skills.
Consult and negotiate with clients and stakeholders on activities related to State land and stock route network management, utilizing high-level communication skills.
Lead, supervise, and coordinate projects to achieve results within specified timeframes, adapting to a changing environment to deliver key priorities.
Make sound and defendable decisions under legislation.
Represent the department professionally at interdepartmental, agency, and stakeholder meetings and forums.
Perform other duties as directed.
What We're Looking For

Ability to manage multiple projects and processes.
Leadership skills to supervise a geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary team.
A current C class driver’s license is desirable.
Willingness to travel, including outside normal hours and overnight stays.
