* Leverage commodity market intelligence, price indices, forecasting tools, and financial instruments to manage cost exposure and mitigate market volatility.
* Analyse commodity cost drivers, supply chain structures, logistics networks, and inventory impacts to inform sourcing decisions and optimise end‐to‐end supply chain performance.
* Identify, qualify, and develop strategic and diversified supply sources to strengthen continuity of supply and reduce risk.
* Deliver detailed financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support operational planning, budgeting, and long‐term procurement strategy.
* Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve supplier performance across cost, quality, service, and risk metrics, maintaining a robust database of alternative supply options.
* Build strong cross‐functional relationships with finance, operations, planning, and R&D to resolve issues, improve forecasting accuracy, and optimise working capital.
* Communicate supply agreements, commercial terms, and supplier performance clearly to key stakeholders to ensure on‐time delivery of compliant, quality raw materials.
* Maintain accurate procurement and contract data within SAP, including contracts, source lists, pricing, and information records.
* Achieve savings and margin targets through value chain analysis, ethical negotiations, cost‐down initiatives, and supplier integration programs.
* Partner with suppliers as an extension of the supply chain to drive continuous improvement, cost optimisation, supply reliability, and innovation.
* Support new product development and cross‐functional project teams to ensure raw material availability, cost transparency, and supply readiness for on‐time, on‐budget launches.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
* 5+ years' experience in sourcing, procurement, or category management within FMCG, agribusiness, or a similar complex supply environment.
* Proven experience managing large‐scale raw material and food commodity portfolios.
* Strong financial acumen, including cost modelling, margin analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and total cost of ownership assessments.
* Deep understanding of end‐to‐end supply chain principles, including demand planning, logistics, inventory management, and supply risk mitigation.
* Solid knowledge of agricultural commodity markets, cost drivers, and global supply bases.
* Highly developed commercial and negotiation skills, effective at senior leadership and supplier executive levels.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate market and financial complexity into clear business insights.
* Experience in agricultural or commodity procurement is highly regarded.
* Previous leadership or people management experience is advantageous.
