2 Year Fix-Term Contract | Potential To Extend
The Role:
IT Procurement & Contract Manager will direct and lead the management of program specific IT-related vendor commercials and contracts to ensure timely, compliant, and value-driven delivery of digital initiatives.
The Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement and drive program specific IT Commercial and Contract strategy to set clear accountabilities for the respective vendors, manage vendor performance, drive value for money and operate within the defined vendor budget
* Lead negotiations and manage contracts with vendors and partners for IT services within the program to ensure compliance, risk mitigation and favourable terms
* Identify and assess and manage commercial, contractual and financial risks associated with vendor delivery of the IT services within the program
* Manage full lifecycle of IT contracts supporting Digital Program(s), ensuring completeness of delivery before handing over to Business As Usual (BAU) Operations
* Ensure all contracts comply with Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) policies and procurement and governance frameworks
Skills & Experience Required:
* 7+ years experience as a Procurement, Contracts or Commercial Manager focused in developing IT procurement strategies and applying VGPB policies and probity principles in contract management
* Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Extensive commercial and contract management experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives, ideally within utilities or government
* Extensive Experience negotiating and managing contracts for IT services, software licensing, cloud platforms, and infrastructure
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
