Indigenous Research Project Officer Opportunity
This role is an exciting opportunity to support a national Indigenous Science initiative within our biodiversity and digital infrastructure platforms.
The successful candidate will provide high-level coordination, administrative and project support for the initiative, working closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate work with advisory groups and reference groups
* Assist in building trusted relationships with Indigenous communities and knowledge holders
* Support respectful, co-designed science and engagement processes
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in project coordination or administrative support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine interest in Indigenous knowledge systems and cultural engagement
* Experience working in project governance structures

This position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with Australian Citizenship. The successful applicant will be required to provide evidence of their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status and contact details of at least one Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Referee.
Appointment to this role is subject to provision of a national police check and may be subject to other security/medical/character requirements.
