Reporting into the head of People and Safety, this is a senior leadership role seeking to develop and improve the strategic and operational safety management of our clients' operations, along with continuing to develop the performance of the safety partner team. This role is focused on creating a well-integrated safety function that delivers on initiatives and supports our clients' operations. Description Lead the development and implementation of workplace health and safety (WHS) strategies. Drive the integration of a WHS Business Partnering model across multiple operational verticals. Oversee risk management initiatives and implement preventative measures. Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on WHS matters. Lead the implementation and management of safety initiatives across the business Monitor and report on WHS performance and implement continuous improvement strategies. Develop safety capability across functional leadership teams. Work closely with the executive leadership team to develop and embed safety strategy. Profile A successful GM of WHS should have: Minimum of Diploma level qualification in WHS Extensive Safety leadership experience in a heavy industrial, resources or utilities environment Strong knowledge of WHS regulations and best practices in Australia. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to develop and implement effective safety strategies. Excellent abilities to influence across business lines and develop productive relationships at all levels of an organisation Job Offer Competitive salary package ranging from AUD 220,000 to AUD 250,000.
