Senior Cable Assurance Engineer Role
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cable Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Network Engineering group, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the field of cable engineering.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in testing and assurance of transmission voltage HVAC/HVDC cables. You should also have a detailed knowledge of national and international standards related to underground/subsea cables and cable accessories.
As a Senior Cable Assurance Engineer, you will work closely with our design authority to ensure that all projects meet the required technical specifications and standards. You will also provide subject matter expert input to design reviews and verify project proposals to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
Demonstrable experience in testing of transmission voltage HVAC/HVDC cables
A detailed knowledge and understanding of national and international standards related to underground/subsea cables and cable accessories
The ability to technically assess quality issues, problems, and/or faults related to HVAC/HVDC cables
