THE ROLE
Are you an experienced and proactive Business Accountant looking to join a dynamic and growing team where excellence, integrity, and teamwork are highly valued?
You will report to our Group Financial Controller and be primarily responsible for managing and reporting on the regions financial results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Collaborate closely with venue managers to monitor financial performance, provide insights, and support initiatives to improve profitability and efficiency
* Undertake travel to venues as required for financial reviews, meetings, and on-site support
* Maintaining and reconciling accounts payable including processing of supplier invoices for approval by managers and undertaking account payable payment runs
* Invoicing as required
* Reconciliation of staff credit cards
* Undertaking end-of-month closure procedures including preparation of end of month reporting.
* Preparing and issuing weekly venue management reports
* Data entry including daily sales data for pubs and hotels
* Liaising with Finance and Administration team at head office when needed
* Developing and updating processes and policies when required
* Some administration duties when required
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
* Accounting or Finance qualification
* 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the food and beverage industry
* High level of attention to detail.
* Strong proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and resolve accounts-related issues and complaints.
* Ability to be able to review existing processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
* Experience in Xero essential.
