OverviewBar Ricci is an exciting new destination that blends the warmth of Italian hospitality with the sophistication of a refined coastal dining experience.
Our restaurant accommodates up to 150 guests, complemented by an intimate, moody wine bar with seating for 50, creating a versatile and memorable setting where exceptional food, wine, and atmosphere come together.
With a focus on the highest quality produce and carefully curated wines, Bar Ricci will deliver a dining experience unlike anything the Gold Coast has ever seen.We are seeking an accomplished Sommelier to join our opening team and take the lead in crafting and managing a world-class wine program that defines the Bar Ricci experience.About the RoleAs our Sommelier, you will be responsible for curating and managing an exceptional wine program that reflects our Italian coastal identity while complementing up-to-date Italian cuisine and small plates.
You will work for the General Manager and closely with Head Chef, Bar Manager, and the wider team to deliver a beverage experience that is memorable, elevated, and seamless for our guests.This role requires availability for both daytime and evening shifts.Key ResponsibilitiesCurate and manage an extensive wine list that complements our seasonal Italian menu.Provide expert guidance to guests on wine selection and pairings.Oversee wine service standards, stock control, and cellar management.Lead ongoing wine training and tastings for the front-of-house team.Build relationships with suppliers and stay across industry trends.Work towards recognition of a list with "3 Glass recognition".
Collaborate with the kitchen and bar team to develop wine pairings menus, as well as special wine events and tastings.About YouMinimum 3 years\' experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining environment.Accredited wine qualifications (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or equivalent).
