Overview
Reporting to the project leadership team, the Project Engineer will support the planning, design and delivery of critical mining infrastructure, working closely with engineering consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to progress the project from studies through to construction readiness. You will play a key role coordinating engineering inputs, developing project documentation and assisting with contractor management across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
* Support development of greenfields project scopes and execution strategies
* Assist with capital cost estimates, schedules and risk assessments
* Coordinate engineering inputs across concept, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
* Develop technical specifications, scopes of work and design criteria
* Monitor project progress against schedule, scope and budget
* Review contractor and consultant deliverables for technical compliance
* Assist in resolving engineering and construction issues as they arise
* Support contractor performance monitoring and change management
* Maintain strong commitment to safety, risk management and compliance
About You
* Engineering degree (Mechanical, Mining or similar)
* 3–8 years' experience within mining, resources or heavy industry projects
* Exposure to greenfields mining development or major infrastructure projects
* Understanding of mining infrastructure and/or process plant systems
* Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
* Experience working with engineering consultants, EPC contractors or construction contractors
* Well-developed planning, organisation and communication skills
