**The Position**
Reporting to the GM HR, you will focus on leading and providing HR support in staffing and rostering, recruitment, training and development, performance monitoring and management, employee counselling, HR reporting and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. The position will maintain human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices at a tactical level. Working closely with the site leadership teams, you will be responsible for but not limited to;
- Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counselling employees and supervisors
- Maintain employee benefits programs; directing the processing of benefit claims; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing HR federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; representing the organisation at hearings
- Undertake all levels of Industrial Relations, including EA bargaining, resolving disputes involving Unions and employee representative groups
- Ensure the monitoring of employees on work cover and suitable duties to ensure that the return-to-work program is efficient and effective
- Ensure all employees have their agreed training plan facilitated
- Develop performance management programs particularly targeting the poor performer
- Ensures HR information systems, manual and electronic, are maintained as the primary source of employment information
- Maintain staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Support the site leadership teams with cost control and operational impact from HR requirements
- Managing 10+ direct reports
- Demonstrated generalist HR management experience within manufacturing, FMCG or operations
- HR tertiary qualifications
- Experience working within a safety environment
- Payroll exposure is preferred
- High level decision-making skills
- High level strategic planning and analytical skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
