Job Opportunity: Environmental Safety Manager
This is a critical leadership role that will spearhead the development and implementation of proactive safety and environmental management practices across our construction projects.
* Safety & Environment Leadership: Foster a culture of safety excellence by promoting and upholding rigorous safety-first principles across all construction activities. Maintain awareness and compliance with comprehensive HS&E management plans, ensuring a safe working environment for everyone involved.
* Governance & Compliance: Provide strategic support in preparing and reviewing HS&E documentation, including SWMS, JSEAs, and subcontractor safety plans. Ensure seamless site inductions and contractor compliance tracking, guaranteeing adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Planning & Delivery Support: Develop, maintain, and update HS&E Management Plans and project governance documents in collaboration with engineering and construction teams. This involves reviewing risks and implementing effective mitigation measures to minimize potential hazards.

* Collaborating closely with engineers and construction teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with construction activities.
* Developing and implementing robust training programs for site staff and contractors on HS&E best practices.
* Conducting regular audits to monitor compliance with HS&E standards and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Fostering open communication channels to promote a culture of safety awareness among all stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in construction, preferably in a dedicated HS&E role.
* Proven experience working on civil construction projects with a strong understanding of Australian safety and environmental regulations.
* Relevant qualifications such as a Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively collaborate with various teams.
