An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Oral Health team as a Dental Therapist / Oral Health Therapist. You will contribute to the provision of a high standard of oral health care to all eligible clients of the Cairns and Hinterland Oral Health Services. This role primarily involves delivering oral health services to children and adolescents through fixed and/or mobile dental clinics within the Cairns locality.
About us:
The Oral Health team provides general, specialist and emergency dental treatment to eligible patients within the CHHHS area. Oral Health Services comprise of community clinics, school dental clinics and mobile dental vans based within the geographical boundaries of Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Services, including Cairns, Tablelands, Cassowary Coast and part of the Savannah Gulf region. This role will be covering the provision of dental services within the Cairns area, with opportunities for outreach trips.

About your role:
* Deliver quality dental therapy services and oral health promotion (and dental hygiene services for Oral Health Therapists) to eligible clients under the current Legislative Acts and Code of Practice in accordance with registration requirements of the AHPRA.
* Actively participate and work cooperatively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strive to meet oral health targets within relevant time frames whilst maintaining quality clinical outcomes and utilising resources to full capacity and designated purpose.
* Provide routine professional advice and information and liaise effectively with clients and their families, with members of the multidisciplinary team and with other health professionals, internal and external stakeholders to enable efficient and improved dental services.
