The main purpose of the eCommerce Lead position is to set the high‑level direction and strategy for large and complex eCommerce clients. You also get hands‑on with implementation when needed and when current clients' tech platforms and digital campaigns aren’t delivering results, you’re the one responsible for finding out why.
You’re responsible for conducting thorough discovery workshops and data analysis to truly understand clients needs and objectives.
As the ‘go to’ for anything eCommerce within the agency, you will need to stay across market changes and trends and actively participate in the industry. You’ll also be presenting these ideas to the broader team to improve the knowledge and capability.

Your New Role!
This is an exciting and diverse role spanning across 4 key areas.
eCommerce Strategy
* Create, manage and review the strategic roadmap for key eCommerce clients, identifying any potential issues or opportunities.
* Quarterly deep dive review of key clients followed by a workshop to discuss findings.
* Collection and advanced analysis of client data from multiple sources — such as Google analytics, digital marketing data, screen recordings, tree testing, A/B tests, UX/UI audits, workshops and client discussions.
* Above industry‑standard strategy for eCommerce build projects.
* Above industry‑standard analysis and strategy of digital campaigns and content creation for digital campaigns across a range of platforms including (but not limited to): Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Advertising.
* Start to finish process for AB testing and CRO projects
* Above industry‑standard analysis and strategy of automations and content creation for email campaigns.
* Development of effective strategies to meet and exceed client objectives e.g. improve conversion rate, grow AOV, increase leads etc.
* Achieve measurable improvement on client objectives to increase in client lifetime spend.
* Provide commercial and valuable advice to clients if we think there is a better way to do something.
* Assist with building dashboards and reporting tools for key clients metrics
* Reviewing new product features and speaking to clients about how they can utilise them.
Generating New Business (new and existing clients)
* Meet the set quarterly targets for new business won.
* Meet the set quarterly targets for qualified pipeline value.
* Building strategy and pitching for new and complex work, otherwise this will be handled by the delivery team.
* Creating agency case studies to highlight the objectives, processes and outcomes achieved.
* Finding opportunities to cross‑sell agency services to improve client results and agency revenue.
* Scoping, collecting requirements, understanding the difference between needs and wants and working with the team to assign priorities.
* Stakeholder engagement.
* Documentation of process and final outcomes.
* Data analysis.
* Writing business cases.
Delivery for Key Clients
* Deliver assigned projects on time, and on budget for your client portfolio.
* Complete responsibility for the successful delivery of client work:
* Create project workspaces as per the approved task/project scope.
* Manage project/task timelines and priorities.
* Ensure tasks contain all the required information for successful execution.
* Accurate scheduling of tasks and moving them through the various stages of the development lifecycle.
* Create, implement and champion best in class process, documentation, execution and quality assurance of delivering work to clients.
* Create and manage detailed documentation, briefs, requirements and communications notes for your client portfolio. The status of every client account needs to be clear to all project stakeholders, at all times.
Thought Leadership
* Attending and occasionally speaking at key eCommerce industry events.
* Presenting new ideas, case studies and agency run events.
* Attending industry events to learn, network and generate new business.
* Contributing written content, being a podcast guest or event speaker to position the agency as a market leader.
What you will need
* 6+ years experience in eCommerce industry
* Working Rights in Australia
* Proven track record in the build and optimisation of eCommerce websites.
* Proven track record in the development of strategic marketing plans, social strategy, understanding the needs of consumers and target audiences.
* Proven track record of facilitating workshops, presentations and engaging key stakeholders.
* Experience with business development and pitching.
* Above industry-standard, hands‑on implementation and optimisation experience of digital campaigns across a range of ad platforms.
* Strong digital/social strategy, communications and content development background.
* Proactive and self‑motivated, highly curious, collaborative and digital/social thinker.
* Effective interpersonal skills, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.
* Analytical skills to identify risks and solve any problems which may arise.
* Superior written and verbal communication, organisational, and project management skills.
* Calm and tactful under pressure, able to juggle many tasks at once.
