About the opportunity
In this newly created role, you will be responsible for client-side design coordination of rolling stock, track, power, MEP, tunnel ventilation, signalling, and rail systems, throughout all lifecycle phases of the SRL project. The role will also require the coordination of linewide architectures and technical scope with the SRL tunnel and stations packages, and the Rail Operator. Drawing upon specialist technical advice from subject matter experts, the Senior Design Manager, will manage work package design reviews for completeness, compliance with requirements, standards and constructability. The ability to work within a multi-discipline project team and to build and maintain strong working relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to manage and assist resolution of complex issues will be fundamental for success in this role.

About you
1. Lead the scoping of design services and engagementof counsultants in accordance with the program.
2. Manage the Linewide and Operations design program, consultand team, contractors, and design deliverables.
3. Manage design for Linewide and Operations across rolling stock, track, power, MEP, tunnel ventilation, signalling, civil, structural, architectural, fire, security and rail systems engineering disciplines.
4. Coordinate Linewide and Operations architecture and design with SRLA tunnel and stations packages
5. Manage the client-side review of Linewide and Operations designs for completeness, compliance to requirements, standards and constructability and obtain specialist advice from nominated advisors as required.
6. Liaise and coordinate with key external and internal stakeholders.
7. Work closely with the contractor's delivery teams to identify technical, planning and engagement issues and priorities, supporting issue resolution, dcision making, design development, construction, and completions as it relates to station works
8. Ensure tunnels and stations designs integrate effectively with Linewide and Operations designs.
9. Provide timely advice and recommendations to senior management on relevant issues arising from and implicating on the project, including the identification and management of project risks.
