Job Summary
* Role purpose: The Account Executive is a significant driver of company revenue and growth, leading and driving sales engagements as an experienced and dynamic sales professional.
* Meet and exceed quota by crafting and implementing strategic territory plans targeting deployments of the Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Security Platform.
* Close business by actively displacing competing technologies and guiding customers to a zero-trust security architecture through our platformization approach.
* Utilize the FLIGHT onboarding program to become a well-prepared sales professional, blending virtual and in‐person learning at our headquarters.
* Drive complex sales cycles, engage internal partners, and cultivate long-standing relationships with prospective customers and executive sponsors.
* Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on enterprise-wide deployments and align with customer needs and the competitive landscape.
* Position Palo Alto Networks by leveraging customer stories, insights into value, and a programmatic approach to demand generation within the territory.
* Travel within the territory and to company-wide meetings as required.
Qualifications
* Experience in cybersecurity sales is preferred, with knowledge of SaaS-based architectures.
* Experience cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners to enable a channel-centric go-to-market approach.
* Ability to lead all aspects of the sales cycle: uncovering, qualifying, developing, and closing new white-space territories and accounts.
* Proven track record selling complex solutions.
* Excellent time management skills with high autonomy and self-direction.
* Highly competitive, quick to ramp, adaptive, and focused on exceeding production goals.
