Our Operating Theatre has an opportunity for an experienced
Clinical Nurse - Scrub /Scout in Neurosurgery
to join our Perioperative team.
Responsibilities
Establishing and maintained positive relationships with patients, staff and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures
Provide exceptional customer service and person-centred and evidence-based care
Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, graduates and students
Working as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team, managing own work time and personal well-being
Lead successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
Involved in clinical and compliance auditing
Taking the lead nursing role in the operating theatre to ensure consistent service delivery and managing of departmental / specialty resources
Qualifications
Have AHPRA registration (essential)
Previous experience with Neurosurgery (5 years minimum essential)
Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the perioperative setting
Be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Implement strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities
Ensure effective allocation of theatre resources to avoid disruption to service
About the Employer The Mount Private Hospital is situated in a desirable inner-city location with access to parking for staff. Theatres include a true Hybrid theatre and multiple specialties such as cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, plastics, and ENT.
Additional Information Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check and evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
