As Assistant Commercial Manager your duties will include supporting the Commercial Manager in overseeing contracts and managing the project P&L.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that projects run smoothly and support in developing additional reporting to identify areas of improvement within the project.
Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks:
Providing guidance to Commercial Analysts for timely performance in billing, cost, profit, and cash collection.Managing the processing, inputting and validation records using various IT systems.Creating report and analysis that will drive and monitor performance.Liaising with Operations to make sure Commercial Risk Management is effectively in place and followed.Liaising and dealing with any commercial queries from Engineers or Sub Contractors.Being able to explain the analysis produced to Operational teams and peers.Management of cash flow, including via accurate cost monitoring, substantiated customer billing and assessment of subcontractor payments.Managing and Reporting of contract variations / DFEs (variations) and ensuring these are recorded and agreed with customers in a timely manner.Supporting Commercial Manager on any ad hoc reporting.Ensuring targets and objectives set are monitored and maintained and suitably underpin financial targets.Relationships To be effective in this role the Assistant Commercial Manager will need to:
Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.Communicate effectively with all other departments.Person Specification To be successful in this role the assistant commercial manager will have:
