Job Overview
Customer Field Technician I – Gympie. Full‐time, permanent role, based in Urangan, QLD (Gympie area). Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining nbn technologies, including copper and fibre cabling, customer equipment, fault diagnosis, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
* Install copper and fibre cabling across customer sites.
* Set up and configure customer equipment.
* Identify and resolve faults, ensuring service quality.
* Provide customer support and communication during installations.
* Work independently while managing workload and meeting safety and procedural standards.
* Maintain all required tools and follow nbn safety procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Current, clean Driver's Licence.
* Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow procedures.
* Clear communication skills and customer‐focused approach.
* Experience in a trade or technical role (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, construction, hospitality, manufacturing, etc.) is highly valued.
* Eager to learn telecommunications concepts – previous experience is not required.
* Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
* Willigness to undertake a criminal history check and pre‐employment medical assessment.
Employment Details
Full‐time, permanent position. Working hours 7 am‐7 pm with flexibility based on business needs. Qualified candidates will receive full training, required tools, and ongoing support.
