Overview
Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Alice Springs, Australia (4,400‑acre facility, approximately 687,000 sq ft of mission and support space). This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high‑end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. Your work will have a profound impact on protecting national security by designing and optimizing mechanical systems for defense and space missions.
What You'll Do
* Study, design, specify, and service mechanical systems.
* Act as a technical specialist making authoritative decisions and recommendations with far‑reaching impact on engineering and related activities.
* Negotiate critical and controversial issues with top‑level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies.
* Provide advisory and consulting work as a recognized authority for broad program areas or in highly specialized areas.
* Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
* US or Australian citizen.
* US TS/SCI clearance with polygraph OR Australian PV clearance.
* Minimum BA/BS in Engineering from an accredited institution.
* Minimum seven years of mechanical engineering experience.
* PE‑Mechanical license.
