Job Title: Grounds and Facilities Maintenance Specialist
We are seeking a part-time Grounds and Facilities Maintenance Specialist to support the efficient operation and presentation of our school. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for general grounds maintenance and minor facilities upkeep to create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Security Duties: Support security duties at the school, including using and maintaining school security systems, banking of school funds, and locking and unlocking buildings within core hours.
* Maintenance Tasks: Assist with clearing and hosing drains and gutters, collecting waste, food, and paper on school grounds, undertaking immediate action cleaning duties outside normal operating hours, coordinating the removal and disposal of rubbish, and assisting with significant events.
* Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, manage equipment records, maintain tools and equipment for repair services, and bring any safety hazards to attention.
About The Role
This is a part-time position working 5 hours per week at a 0.13 FTE for a period of 12 months, unless otherwise determined. You will perform a variety of routine tasks, such as general maintenance, groundskeeping, and basic upkeep, following clear instructions and working independently where appropriate.
