Opportunity

Location: Perth, WA | Full‑time (38 hours per week) | Workplace type: Hybrid

Senior Marketing Manager – Lead a multidisciplinary creative and content team to develop brand assets, messaging, and campaigns that keep Sea to Summit top of mind for outdoor gear consumers. The role shapes brand storytelling, oversees creative execution, and embeds distinctive brand assets into every touchpoint, from global campaigns to single social posts. Strategic frameworks developed here serve as guardrails for regional marketing teams, ensuring consistent global messaging while respecting local performance objectives.


Responsibilities


Brand Stewardship & Mental Availability

* Act as steward of Sea to Summit’s brand assets—logo, visual identity, tone of voice—to ensure consistent and powerful deployment across all expressions.
* Develop campaigns and assets that maximize mental availability by increasing reach, salience, and recognizability.
* Champion brand consistency across all functions and regions, providing cohesive messaging to consumers worldwide.


Campaign Messaging & Delivery

* Own development of brand and product‑level messaging that aligns with our distinct brand proposition.
* Oversee full‑funnel global campaigns across social, digital, PR, and retail touchpoints.
* Ensure messaging clearly articulates product superiority while remaining simple, emotional, and repeatable.


Digital & Social Media Oversight

* Oversee strategy and execution for global social media channels, ensuring consistent brand voice and asset application.
* Guide content calendars, creative themes, and storytelling formats that align with seasonal launches and retailer marketing.
* Ensure digital and video content reinforces agreed product messaging and brand proposition.


Creative Team Management

* Manage and lead the in‑house creative team (graphic design, videography, multimedia).
* Drive performance by providing clear briefs, objectives, and project timelines while allowing space for inspired output.
* Inspire the creative process to deliver consistent, brand‑aligned, consumer‑centric content.


Cross‑Functional Collaboration

* Work with the Go‑to‑Market team to create sell‑in tools and consumer‑facing materials to win in retail.
* Partner with category management to align product benefits with storytelling and messaging.
* Collaborate with eCommerce and regional marketing teams to maintain global consistency while respecting regional objectives.
* Lead development of global creative toolkits that regions can adapt without diluting brand integrity.


Agency & Partner Management

* Manage external creative agencies and freelancers, ensuring all third‑party outputs align with brand guidelines.


Brand Metrics & Reporting

* Apply a commercial lens to all marketing activities, leading the business with clear ROI reporting.
* Liaise with the Marketing Director to communicate brand metric monitoring throughout the business.
* Use insights from brand metrics to continuously refine messaging, assets, and creative priorities.


Qualifications

* 6‑8+ years in brand or marketing roles with proven success in a previous leadership capacity.
* Preferred: experience with a global brand and working across cultures and time‑zones; flexibility to collaborate with international teams required.
* Demonstrated ability to build brands using modern marketing principles, including mental availability, reach, and distinctiveness.
* Experience briefing and managing creative teams to deliver high‑quality work at scale.
* Strong storytelling and messaging skills—especially translating product benefits into short, memorable, consumer‑centric language.
* Confidence in cross‑functional collaboration and external partner management.
* Skilled in measuring brand‑building effectiveness across awareness, recognition, and emotional response.
* Preference given to candidates with outdoor or sports category experience; enthusiasm for outdoor activities/lifestyle is essential.
