PERSOL is partnering with a leading resources business to recruit an experienced Exploration Geologist to join their growing team.This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting exploration programs, contribute to strategic project development, and play a key part in identifying future mineral resources.About the RoleAs an Exploration Geologist, you will be responsible for evaluating mineral exploration tenements, conducting geological analysis, and supporting field-based activities to advance ongoing and new exploration projects.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide technical insights, prepare feasibility assessments, and ensure exploration programs are executed safely and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate mineral exploration tenements to determine geological potential and prospectivity.Review, analyse, and interpret historical exploration data to inform project planning and decision-making.Prepare detailed feasibility reports, technical summaries, and exploration recommendations.Conduct field-based exploration activities, including geological mapping, sampling programs, drilling supervision, and site assessments.Maintain accurate geological records, sampling logs, and spatial data.Utilise GIS software and geological modelling tools to interpret data and generate geological models.Provide technical guidance and support across ongoing exploration projects.Ensure all exploration activities comply with safety and environmental standards.About YouThe ideal candidate will bring both technical capability and a passion for discovery.A degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related discipline.Minimum 3 years' experience in mineral exploration, ideally with exposure to greenfield exploration projects.Proficiency in GIS systems (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and geological modelling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine).
Strong analytical and interpretation skills with the ability to work with diverse geological datasets.Willingness and ability to undertake field work as required.Excellent communication and report-writing skills.A proactive, safety-first mindset and ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.Why Apply?
