I'm currently partnering with a well-established engineering consultancy in Canberra seeking to appoint a
Project Lead Structural Engineer
to drive the successful delivery of key building projects across WA.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys owning projects from inception through to completion. While strong technical design capability in concrete and steel is essential, this position is primarily focused on
leadership, client management and end-to-end project delivery.
As Project Lead, you will be responsible for running structural projects across commercial, residential, health, education and mixed-use developments.
You will take full ownership of:
* End-to-end project delivery (concept to construction)
* Client relationship management and stakeholder engagement
* Leading and mentoring a team of engineers and drafters
* Managing resources, workloads and project budgets
* Controlling programme, deadlines and design outputs
* Reviewing and overseeing structural design in reinforced concrete and structural steel
* Managing risk, scope variations and commercial outcomes
* Ensuring quality assurance and compliance with Australian Standards
This is a role where you will have genuine influence over project performance, team development and client growth.
About You
* 6+ years' experience in structural engineering within a consultancy environment
* Proven track record running projects independently
* Strong background in building structures (concrete and steel)
* Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
* Commercially aware with experience managing fees and project financials
* Confident communicator with the ability to build long-term client relationships
* Chartered (or close to achieving) highly regarded
