Purpose of Role
To provide strong administrative and office support for the Broker as well as, assist the Broker in preparing loan applications including, but not limited to the following tasks:
- Prepare Lender Servicing calculators
- Conduct relevant Policy research
- Obtain lender specific Pricing
- Research and shortlist Lender and Product options
Duties:
In this role, you will also be responsible for:
* Liaising with Lenders and Clients during the application process
* Credit and lender policy adaptation
* Collecting all required documentation for the loan package
* Create a loan submission
* Submit files to lenders
* Ensure that approval falls within the established lending guidelines
Qualifications and Cognitive Competencies:
* Ability to interpret and analyze relevant data to diagnose issues, trends and emerging problems and initiating actions prior to the execution of tasks;
* Application of high level communication skills in identifying customer needs and presenting information to meet those needs
* Capacity to influence the customer through product and process expertise and knowledge of product characteristics that meet expressed customer needs
Business Skills and Experience:
* 2 + years experience in Loan Processing, Credit Analysis or related financial services field
* Demonstrated knowledge and skills in loan processing and credit assessment
* Experience in loan document preparation
* Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with people at different levels and setting realistic customer expectations
* Database and systems management skills
* Intermediate computer skills;
* Excellent customer service skills;
* Understanding of financial services (preferred)
* Tech Savvy - able to navigate new software
* Demonstrate a strong customer focus with a positive, can-do attitude
* Strong problem-solving skills
