What will you do?
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Program Performance team in Perth. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of highly skilled specialists, delivering projects across a diverse range of sectors.
As a trusted partner to clients throughout Western Australia, you will play a role in driving project success. You will contribute across key sectors including Defence, Infrastructure, Transport, Mining, Energy, and Water, making a meaningful difference in each project you undertake.
Key responsibilities
* Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Prepare elemental and detailed cost plans across design stages.
* Develop trade‐based estimates, and cost benchmarking.
* Assess variations, EOT claims, progress claims, and contract compliance.
* Support tender documentation, procurement, and commercial evaluations.
* Liaise with clients, designers, and contractors to resolve cost and scope matters.
* Prepare clear, accurate cost estimate reports and presentations.
* Contribute to risk assessments and feasibility studies.
* Mentor junior team members and support QA and continuous improvement.
Qualification and experience
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* 5–7 years' experience in a professional QS or cost management environment.
* Proven experience preparing elemental cost plans, trade‐based estimates, and supporting contract administration (variations and EOTs).
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, industry standards, and market rates.
* Proficiency in CostX and Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and time‐management skills.
* Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Familiarity with Australian Standards, procurement practices, and local market conditions.
* Professional accreditation or demonstrated progress toward AIQS or RICS membership is desirable.
* Eligibility for Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) security clearance (preferred).
