Overview
BESIX Watpac is seeking a Foreman to join our Qld Construction team. While we hire for the long term, initially you will be based on our Woodford Youth Detention Centre project within a supportive and highly experienced team. This role will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
- Organising on a daily and weekly basis the sequencing of on-site activities, including the coordination of materials, equipment and personnel.
- In consultation with the Site Manager, allocating necessary site staff and resources and ensuring that all the resources for the project are available when required.
- Reviewing the construction programme with the Site Manager, re-sequencing activities as necessary to achieve the programmed completion date.
- Ensuring that the Company's policies and practices on safety, industrial relations and quality assurance are implemented at the work face.
- Ensuring compliance with standards and contract documents.
Qualifications
- The incumbent in this role will require: Qualifications in building/construction, or a trade qualification in a construction related field.
- Demonstrated success supervising the delivery of commercial or industrial building projects within time, cost and quality requirements.
- Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
