MACA is seeking an experienced Alternate Project Manager - Mining to join our team at the Karlawinda Gold Project, situated 65 kilometres south-east of Newman in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli People.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Alternate Project Manager - Mining is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of site operations, ensuring all client requirements are met in accordance with the contract. The role involves planning, leading and monitoring teams to achieve production targets while maintaining full compliance with MACA's safety standards, policies, procedures and core values.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, strengthen and maintain effective working relationships with key client stakeholders and site personnel.
* Provide effective overall management and administration of the project to achieve contractual and operational objectives.
* Liaise with the Project Manager to forecast medium to long term project requirements and assess progress against agreed targets.
* Identify and proactively manage design, material and resource constraints.
* Work closely with client site management to determine plant, equipment and labour requirements, ensuring optimal utilisation.
* Monitor project performance against targets and implement corrective actions where required.
* Lead, inform and engage the project team, fostering collaboration and alignment toward shared objectives.
* Administer head contracts and subcontracts, including extensions of time, variations, costs, claims progress, invoicing and monthly reporting.
* Demonstrate commitment to MACA's safety, health and environmental policies, including the zero-harm objective.
* Promote and embed MACA's vision and core values across the project team.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Minimum of 7 years production supervisory experience in an open pit mining environment.
* Proven experience in effective management and administration of the project.
* Demonstrated experience in commercial management, budgeting & forecasting and strong planning skills.
* Commitment, respect, and compliance to the MACA safety, health and environmental policies.
* The ability to build key stakeholder relationships.
* Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency.
* The ability to monitor overall performance to ensure targets are met and take appropriate action to maintain targets.
