WorkPac are seeking a Asphalt Labourer to assist our Client based in Canberra.
Our client delivers road network solutions utilizing industry-leading research, development and innovation, asset management tools. Commitment to safety, environment and sustainability through industry awarded programs. They have formed partnerships to meet the needs of their customers and ever-changing markets and work closely with each state's road authorities, as well as a number of local government councils and authorities.
What you will be doing:
Laying Asphalt:
* Raking and spreading hot asphalt evenly after its poured from the truck or paving machine.
* Assisting the paving machine operator.
* Making sure edges, joins, and corners are neat and smooth.
And Compaction work:
* Operating or assisting with plate compactors, rollers, or hand tampers to compress the asphalt.
* Ensuring a smooth and durable surface by eliminating air pockets or weak spots.
What you will need:
* Asbestos and Silica awareness.
* Drivers Licence.
* Experience in Asphalt.
* HR Drivers Licence.
* Operating Experience.
