About the Role:
As our Assistant Service Manager you will:
* Support the Service Manager with the day-to-day operations of the centre
* Champion a strong culture of child safety and protection, ensuring all practices align with legislative requirements and child safe standards
* Lead and mentor educators in delivering best practice
* Ensure practices align with the EYLF, QKLG, and NQS
* Build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families, and the wider community
* Drive continuous improvement and reflective practices across the service
* Actively contribute to a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where children’s rights and wellbeing are prioritised
* Support staff to understand and implement child protection responsibilities, reporting obligations, and safeguarding practices
About You:
You’ll be a confident, organised, and nurturing leader who brings enthusiasm and innovation to the role. You’ll also have:
* A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
* Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
* Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain)
* Sound understanding of the EYLF, QKLG, and NQS
* A strong commitment to child safety, protection, and ethical practice
* A passion for empowering educators and fostering meaningful learning
* Previous experience in an Assistant Manager role (desirable)
