ROBAR Group – Skilled Civil Infrastructure Workers Wanted (South Australia & Queensland) ROBAR Group delivers complex civil infrastructure projects across Australia, and we are expanding our workforce for multiple upcoming projects across South Australia and Queensland, with FIFO and DIDO opportunities available. As our national pipeline grows, future roles will also open across other states.
We are seeking motivated, safety‐focused civil construction professionals ready to join a high‐performing team working on major trenching, infrastructure, and civil works packages.
Available Positions
* Leading Hand – Civil Construction Supervises onsite crews, coordinates daily operations, maintains productivity, and ensures safety compliance. Requires strong leadership and proven civil construction experience.
* Pipelayer / Drainer Installs stormwater, sewer, and water infrastructure. Must be confident working in trench environments, interpreting plans, and operating safely in confined spaces.
* Excavator Operator (Deep Trenching) Operates excavators for trenching, backfilling, and general civil works. Experience around underground services and deep trenching is highly regarded.
* Experienced Civil Labourer Supports crews with trenching, pipe installation, spotting machinery, site prep, and general labouring. Must be comfortable working in high‐risk environments.
* Dogman/Rigger Assists with crane operations, load directing, and safe lifting activities. Requires strong communication skills, situational awareness, and the ability to work closely with plant operators in dynamic civil environments.
Mandatory Requirements For All Roles
* Civil construction experience (deep trenching highly regarded)
* Confined Space & Working at Heights certifications or willingness to obtain
* White Card
* Ability to work safely in trench environments
* Relevant plant tickets and VOCs for operator roles
* Ability to pass a criminal history check
* Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork
