What We Will Offer You
* Commencing salary of $3,343.26 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $4,011.91 gross per fortnight + superannuation (Town Planner).
* Commencing salary of $2,793.68 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,352.42 gross per fortnight + superannuation (Cadet Town Planner).

Your New Role
Council is currently seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our team in the capacity of a Town Planner or Cadet Town Planner.
Responsibilities
As a Town Planner you will be responsible for making a valuable contribution to Council's statutory planning responsibilities and, in doing so, you will contribute to positive development outcomes across the City of Wagga Wagga. You will hold key responsibility for:
* Assessment of a range of development applications.
* The provision of policy advice to both internal and external clients in line with Council's statutory planning functions
* Assisting in the development, review and implementation of Council's development control policies and procedures
* Providing input to the review and development of Council's strategic policy documents
* Researching, analysing and reporting on changes to NSW planning legislation, policy and guidelines.
What You Need To Succeed
To be successful as a Town Planner, you will possess tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Rural Planning or a related discipline, hold a Class C Driver's Licence and a WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card) and demonstrated experience relevant to the position.
Candidates applying as a cadet will need to be currently completing tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Rural Planning or a related discipline.
Your strong communication skills and ability to solve problems coupled with your can-do attitude will be key to your success.
