As a Family Support Coordinator at Eimeo Road State School, you will build partnerships between families and local support services. You will lead family engagement from Pre-Prep to Prep and provide ongoing support for diverse communities.
About This Role
This is a temporary part-time position with flexibility in days of work available. You will be working closely with students, parents, school staff, government agencies, and community services to ensure optimum outcomes for children and their families.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Building Partnerships: Establish positive relationships and effective partnerships with students, parents, school staff, government agencies, and community services.
2. Supporting Children and Families: Respond to individual needs of children and their families and carers to provide support for transition to school, establishment of good patterns of attendance and behaviour, and maintenance of engagement in learning.
3. Working with Vulnerable Groups: Work with and support the needs of vulnerable children from diverse backgrounds, including First Nations, young persons with disabilities, and young persons in care.
4. Capacity Building: Support family and carer capacity building to assist their child's learning, development, and wellbeing, ongoing engagement in school, and assisting the schools to respond to complex needs.
