Job description:$90,308.00 per annum + superannuationFull Time, Fixed Term (Until 30th June 2026)Geelong based (hybrid working model – 3 days per week in office)About the roleThe Claims and Recovery Support (CaRS) division has been created within WorkSafe to focus on supporting the recovery and return to work of injured workers. CaRS is transforming how we provide support and service to injured workers to improve the outcomes they achieve. As part of this, we are helping shape and execute on key strategic priorities for RTW Victoria through pilots, innovation and key strategic programs of work.The Recovery & Support Officer will adopt a person-centred case management approach to manage a portfolio of injured workers to become independent from the worker’s compensation scheme.The Recovery & Support Officer will take primary responsibility for a portfolio, working collaboratively with others in the division and across WorkSafe to adopt a multi-disciplinary approach, sharing expertise and drawing on the expertise of others.Key accountabilities of this role will include:Manage a portfolio of injured workers adopting a person-centred case management approach to support their transition from active treatment, which is aimed at enhancing social and economic participationDevelop trusted communication with injured workers and their support networks (e.g. family, health providers)Professional and Reflective Practice to support self-care and resilienceIdentify opportunities and goals to support transition to self-managed treatment plans that maximize health and independence.Ensure that active and timely intervention occurs to improve outcomes by continually monitoring and assessing the injured worker’s recovery journeyPlease ensure to review the Position Description via the WorkSafe careers site for additional information on accountabilities for this role.About youYou will have a strong understanding of claims management with a person-centred approach to case management.
