Our focus is the promotion of musculoskeletal health and physical activity across the lifespan. Our research is divided into three main themes: back pain and musculoskeletal conditions; physical activity, ageing and disability; and evidence and equity. We are seeking a Research Fellow to support Dr Marina De Barros Pinheiro on the project “Modelling for impact: A system dynamics tool to inform a fall prevention strategy for NSW”. The incumbent will provide research assistance across the physical activity, ageing and disability themes. Your key responsibilities will be to: provide research assistance for the fall prevention modelling project lead qualitative research activities including co-design workshops, participant interviews, thematic analysis, and report writing contribute to data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and interpretation assist in preparing manuscripts, reports, and presentations for stakeholders collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure project milestones are met conduct original research independently or as part of a team, focusing on publication, conference presentations, and securing research funding maintain a research profile, including publication of book chapters, peer-reviewed journal articles, and conference papers develop research collaborations and engage in translational research that results in knowledge or technology transfer leading to commercialisation, improved policy or practice, or enhancement to industry, the profession or community contribute to applications for competitive research grants or funding to deliver research impact maintain quality, standards and excellence in research activities and output provide informal mentoring and guidance to lower-level academics and supervise postgraduate research students or projects where appropriate carry out administrative tasks and contribute to faculty/school meetings contribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity of thought, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes are valued and enabled understand and contribute to furthering the university and faculty/school strategic agenda contribute expertise and knowledge through communication of scholarship with industry, forums of public debate, organisation of public events, seminars, and conferences undertake other duties and contribute to projects appropriate within the classification level as required About you a PhD in public health, epidemiology, health sciences, or a related discipline with focus on digital health interventions and rehabilitation demonstrated experience leading qualitative research, including co-design, participant engagement and interview, analysis and report writing demonstrated strong understanding of falls prevention and its application in research and practice strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities excellent written and verbal communication skills, including academic writing a developing network of academic, industry and professional partners and stakeholders a developing research profile in discipline or area of expertise ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
