Remuneration: $33.26 - $35.53 per hour + superannuation. You can receive an incentives package worth up to $5,000 in addition to your standard entitlements with the Rural Health Workforce Incentives Scheme.

About The Opportunity
The Oral Health Team at South Western Sydney Local Health District are recruiting for enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Assistants to join the team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about high quality oral health care and has communication skills to build rapport with clients to promote positive health outcomes. The role focuses on delivering high quality patient‑centred care with patient and family/carer involvement in safe oral health practices. This role offers an chance to gain valuable experience with support for professional development and career progression from the management team.
Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme
This vacancy is eligible for an Attraction and Retention incentive under the NSW Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme, paid on a fortnightly basis.
The Attraction Incentive For This Position Equates To:
- An allowance of up to $5,000 in total for the first 12 months of employment for the successful candidate.
- A retention incentive of up to $5,000 in total may be offered thereafter annually (dependent on ongoing eligibility criteria).

What You'll Be Doing
The Dental Assistant will undertake a full range of dental assistant duties providing clinical support and assisting with the efficient delivery of a high quality oral health service to eligible clients within South Western Sydney Local Health District.

How To Apply

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to service performance and accountability in a Community Oral Health setting, including competence in electronic oral health records and Microsoft applications.
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Oral Health Service policies and procedures.
- Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). If holding a different state license, obtain NSW C Class (P1 or P2) within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
