Marine Culture is a thriving privately owned business that has been producing, selling and marketing premium quality oysters since 1989. We are dedicated to sustainable aquaculture and high-quality seafood production.
We seek a highly motivated and organised individual with a hands-on approach to fill a new role as an Assistant Manager to support our current team members at our oyster farm located at Spring Bay, Tasmania. Extensive knowledge of the oyster industry with management experience is essential to be considered for this position.
A minimum of 1-2 years of management experience is required for this position.

Job Responsibilities
The successful applicant will have the following job responsibilities:
* Assist Farm Manager by performing related duties
* Proven ability to co-ordinate farm operations and fostering teamwork to ensure maximum productivity
* Exceptional observational, problem solving and decision making skills
* Support team members by communicating job expectations and appraising job results
* Excellent leadership skills to manage, motivate and train staff
* Ability to coach, council and discipline employees
* Assist in developing, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards
Requirements
The successful applicant must have:
* Extensive knowledge of aquaculture farming
* A minimum of 2-3 years of aquaculture farming experience
* Vehicle Licence
* Coxswains Certificate
* High Risk Work Licence (Forklift)
* Computer Skills (Excel, Word)
* Australian citizenship eligibility for this position
