As an Australia regional management company of NRI group, NRI Australia Holdings (NRI AUH) manages NRI group’s Australian businesses and companies including but not limited to NRI Australia. The business function includes corporate governance, financial consolidation, M&A, and internal audit activities in the region.
Role/Purpose
• Act as Senior Consultant, with primary responsibility for change management and other comprehensive administrative operation of NRI Australia Holdings (the Company) including finance, internal audit, accounting, taxation, IT, HR, legal, and group company governance.
• Analyse and revise current structures and procedures in place and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
• Improve the group organisation for more efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support the Company group operational improvement through project managements.
• Support the Head of Administration Division and Managers and minimize risks in relation to all finance, accounting, legal, HR, and IT matters for the Company and its group companies.
• Support communication with Nomura Research Institute (NRI), the parent company in Japan, and each group company under NRI-AU in their strategy including potential M&A activities and synergy creation in its group.
Duties
Management consulting:
• Plan, manage and lead cross-company integration projects within NRI group as a senior consultant. Responsibility includes but not limited to
- development of strategic project plans in alignment with overall business directions and schedule
- stakeholder communication and negotiation
- current state analysis and future state planning
- issues and tasks management
• Support management team for decision making regarding project direction by providing quantitative analysis on project benefits
• Support and implement optimization planning / activities of corporate functions of NRI group companies
• Provide project management function to improve the company group operation and governance
• Support continuous improvement of the group companies by;
- promoting the efficiency of organisation
- analysing the current work flow and system platform, and proposing the improvement plan
- identifying duplicated functions in the group and realising cost saving by integrating them
- facilitating change management projects
Finance
• Assist financial advisory function in a large acquisition project
• Assist all kinds of finance function including finance, treasury, accounting, tax
Governance and M&A
• Support the President and the Chief Administrative Officer to facilitate and activate the governing bodies such as the board, its sub-committee of the group companies
• Assist governance and M&A activities in Australia region for the parent Nomura Research Institute
• Support execution of M&A activities of the company and the group companies
• Support Post Merger Integration process
Internal Audit:
• Assist internal audits on the group companies
• Assist to enhance internal audit function of the company
Human Resources:
• Assist the Head of Administration Division in HR related administrative tasks and processes
General Affairs / Secretary:
• Improve office working environment and execute administrative and secretarial tasks
Legal:
• Assist legal administration and contract management
Information Technology:
• Support company’s information technology administration
Required qualifications, skills & experience
• Bachelor degree
• Japanese and English language skills - Business level or above
• Management consulting and operational improvement experience
• Excellent networking and stakeholder management skills
• Project planning and implementation skill with many related internal and external parties
• Project management skills
• More than 5 years of relevant experience in management consulting and/or project management
• Ability to deliver results
• Ability to maintain business focus
• Ability to work well and flexibly with people, and have personal awareness
• Strong attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Ability to understand the global governance policy and related requirements under NRI group companies
• Cultural awareness of all the Company’s shareholders
• Strong, proactive and timely communications
• Microsoft Office skills of a strong level
