About the role
As a Finance Leader reporting to the Director of Finance, you will provide strategic oversight and expert guidance in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making across the North West Hospital and Health Service. You will lead and mentor the Budget Officer, collaborate with business units, and drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.
You will:
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis for NWHHS.
* Provide strategic advice and training to business units on financial planning and reporting.
* Prepare business cases and deliver costing support to executive and operational teams.
* Monitor trends in revenue, expenses, staffing, and activity to support informed decision-making.
* Oversee aged debtors, creditors, and inventory to ensure effective financial management.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and high performance.
* Ensure compliance with risk management, quality standards, Work Health and Safety, and ethical practices.
* Engage effectively with Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and culturally diverse communities to support organisational values.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Business in Accounting, Commerce or equivalent is mandatory for this position.
* Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Hep B/A and Tuberculosis.
