As a Registered Nurse, you'll play an important role in delivering a range of services—from acute and chronic to community care and emergency support—while being supported through training and teamwork. The Role
The Clinical Nurse Educator at KIHHC supports clinical excellence by providing education, mentoring, and professional development for clinical and non‐clinical staff. The role focuses on building clinical competence, delivering evidence‐based learning, and promoting best‐practice standards. Working closely with the Leadership Team, the CNE supports quality improvement activities and helps maintain a positive, collaborative learning environment that enhances patient care.
Key Qualifications and Responsibilities
* A clinical background across Emergency and Acute Care settings, with the capability to apply this knowledge to support evidence‐based education and skills development for staff.
* Strong educational leadership experience, including the ability to guide, coach, and support staff in achieving and maintaining competence.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling the CNE to build effective professional relationships, promote collaboration, and enhance a positive learning environment.
Salary
* $118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
* Post Graduate Allowance up to 10% based on qualification type.
* Regional Allowances: District Allowance up to $4,618 per annum for a family; Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,797 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10%.

Eligibility
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (where applicable).
* Desirable: Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications.
