Position: BDA Geospatial Analyst (Level 1/Associate Entry Level and Level 2/Practitioner)Organisation: Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO)Location: Australian Hydrographic Office, 8 Station Street Wollongong NSWSalary: AUD 75 to 100 per hourNote: MUST be an Australian Citizen holding minimum Baseline Security Clearance (NV1 will be a bonus)Position OverviewA GIS Data Analyst is required for generation and maintenance of foundation bathymetric data, including: extract-transform-load (ETL) functions, quality assessment and attribution, geospatial process implementation and improvement, geospatial analysis and generation of supporting documentation. This data is a critical input to capability and the generation of Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) and other Defence products, as well as a key element in data analysis conducted to inform the HydroScheme Industry Partnership Program (HIPP) collection priorities and survey extents.The GIS Data Analyst will work with AHO databases and software, including Mediaflux, CARIS BASE Editor / Bathy DataBASE and ESRI ArcGIS Pro to locate, extract, assess, transform and load data, with associated quality control and attribution.
