We're seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance team based in Wetherill Park. In this role, you'll work closely with the Payroll Manager and play a key part in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely weekly payroll for a diverse workforce.

What you'll be doing
* Assisting with the end‑to‑end processing of weekly payroll, ensuring wages, overtime, adjustments, penalties, and leave are accurately captured
* Processing leave entitlements in line with relevant awards and agreements
* Reviewing payroll documentation prior to data entry to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Setting up new employees correctly and promptly in the payroll system
* Completing end‑of‑month payroll reconciliations in collaboration with Finance
* Maintaining the Time Management System (TMS) daily, including managing anomalies, leave certificates, and overtime reviews
* Supporting termination processing, including preparation of separation certificates
* Preparing and lodging monthly payroll tax for the business
* Generating reports and maintaining accurate payroll records
* Stepping in to complete end‑to‑end payroll processing in the absence of the Payroll Manager when required

About you
You're an experienced Payroll Officer who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and values teamwork. You're confident handling complexity and comfortable managing sensitive information with discretion.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* 5+ years' experience in a similar payroll position
* Proven experience using Chris21
* Strong knowledge of superannuation, payroll tax, terminations, redundancies, and time & attendance
* The ability to interpret awards and relevant employment legislation
* High attention to detail with strong numerical and data entry skills
* Confidence handling confidential and sensitive information
* Experience with TMS (highly regarded)
