We are seeking a highly motivated Contracts Advisor to support the Contracts Manager in overseeing project procurement and contracting activities within a structured governance framework. This role offers the chance to contribute to the successful delivery of major capital projects and studies, working closely with a variety of stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Raising purchase orders and minor works orders.
- Supporting procurement and contracting activities for studies and major capital projects, ensuring compliance with established procedures and governance requirements.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of Project Procurement and Contracting Plans.
- Supporting Aboriginal engagement, local procurement, and compliance with Australian Industry Participation Plans.
- Reviewing recommendations for award and advising on contractor selection.
- Managing the lifecycle of project contracts, from strategy development through to contract and project close-out.
- Raising site instructions as required.
- Processing progress claims and invoices.
- Preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:
- A strong ability to contribute to a positive team culture and work collaboratively.
- A degree qualification in law, commerce, engineering, or a related discipline.
- An understanding of commercial risks associated with construction projects.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Up to 5 years of experience in a contractor, EPCM, or owner's team role.
