Senior Quantity Surveyor
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor (3-4 years' experience) to manage the financial and contractual performance of construction projects from tender through to completion.
This role requires strong cost control, risk management and negotiation skills, with the ability to work autonomously while supporting the broader project team.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
* Monitor, control and forecast project costs to ensure profitability
* Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts and payments
* Assess and negotiate variations and contractual claims
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks
* Prepare monthly cost reports and financial forecasts
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
* Ensure contractual compliance and support dispute resolution where required
* Maintain accurate project documentation
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent
* 3-4 years' experience in a contracting environment
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and legislation
* Proven ability to manage project commercials independently
* Advanced Excel and cost management software skills
* Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills
* White Card and NSW Driver's Licence
