The Chef will be responsible for the following duties:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes in line with Belgrave Cartel standards.
- Supervising, training, and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
- Driving consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation.
- Assisting in the development of seasonal menus and specials.
- Monitoring food and labour costs and assisting with cost control measures.
- Managing inventory, stock rotation, and ordering supplies as required.
- Ensuring compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
- Conducting regular kitchen meetings to ensure team communication and efficiency.
- Collaborating with management to develop and implement kitchen systems and processes.
- Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and equipment safety in the kitchen at all times.
