Senior Network / Systems Engineer
Perth, WA | $100k–$120k + super
We're partnering with a well-established Perth-based technology services business that specialises in enterprise networking and multi-site environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on Network / Systems Engineer who enjoys delivery work and engaging directly with customers.
This is not a BAU-only role — you'll be involved in real deployments, complex changes, and customer-facing problem solving.
The Role
You'll be responsible for designing, deploying and supporting enterprise-grade network solutions across multiple customer environments. The focus is on firewalls, SD-WAN and secure connectivity, with a strong emphasis on communication and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, deploy and support enterprise networking solutions
* Deliver multi-site firewall and SD-WAN rollouts
* Troubleshoot complex network issues across customer environments
* Communicate changes, risks and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Contribute to change management processes and technical documentation
* Support proposals and solution design discussions
Technical Skills & Experience
Firewall experience (strong preference for Palo Alto):
* Palo Alto Firewalls
* Fortinet Firewalls
* Cisco Firewalls
Hands-on experience delivering large environments is highly regarded (e.g. multi-site or enterprise-scale deployments).
Core technologies:
* Dynamic routing: OSPF / BGP
* SD-WAN deployment and support
* VPN technologies: IPSec, SSL, Clientless, Always-On
* MFA and SSO
* DMZ design
* Reverse Proxy (e.g. Nginx)
* Forward Proxy, SSL Decryption, Captive Portals
About You
* Strong networking background with enterprise or MSP experience
* Comfortable working directly with customers
* Able to clearly explain technical changes and impacts
* Pragmatic, communicative and solutions-focused
* Experience in MSP or consulting environments is highly advantageous
Salary & Benefits
* $100,000 – $120,000 + super
* Salary aligned to experience and technical depth
* 6-month probation period with review and uplift typically offered on completion
