Job Summary:
The role of Safety and Quality Advisor involves providing critical support to the operational risk functions, including delivery of DSRM, Safety Reporting, and Metric development.
This position requires strong administrative skills, with a focus on managing safety reports, actions, and storage of meeting minutes, safety information, and evidence.
A key aspect of this role is to provide reporting statistics and data on the SMS and HESS systems performance, as well as oversight and follow-up of SMS activities with departmental heads and staff.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for fostering and developing professional relationships and trust through effective engagement of organisation departments.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple demands in a rapidly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver operational risk functions, including DSRM, Safety Reporting, and Metric development.
* Manage safety reports, actions, and storage of meeting minutes, safety information, and evidence.
* Provide reporting statistics and data on the SMS and HESS systems performance.
* Oversight and follow-up of SMS activities with departmental heads and staff.
* Foster and develop professional relationships and trust through effective engagement of organisation departments.
* Contribute to the SMS continuous improvement program.
* Develop high-level analysis and reports from safety system surveys.
* Coordinate follow-up, analysis, and reports from company-wide risk reviews.
Qualifications and Skills
* Certificate IV in WHS or Diploma in aviation or other relevant field.
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or similar training knowledge and experience.
* Experience working in a safety and quality environment.
* Experience in administration within an aviation environment.
* Training and/or knowledge in the application of safety, quality, and environmental management standards according to ISO or equivalent.
* Knowledge of CASA, EASA, and FAA regulations applicable to an MRO / CAMO / Flight Operations.
* Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office packages in particular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Self-motivated and results-oriented with a focus on quality and customer service.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple demands in a rapidly changing environment.
