Our organization is looking for a strategic mine planner to develop mine planning strategies and support growth opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in underground mine planning and operations, as well as expertise in hard rock mining methods. They should be able to communicate complex issues effectively and lead diverse groups in a large organization.
Key responsibilities include developing mine planning strategies, producing underground mine designs and schedules, and supporting the integration and optimization of Copper SA. The successful candidate will also utilize industry experience to develop continuous improvement initiatives and leverage their expertise to bring new technologies and ways of working to the business.
The role involves promoting mine planning as the vehicle that supports all technical disciplines and asset optionality, and providing technical support for significant mine planning projects and studies. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
This position requires experience in delivering studies through to operations readiness and execution, as well as the ability to apply divergent thought to value optimization. The successful candidate will also be able to collaborate with other Planning and Execution teams.
