Job role
Part time – up to 4 days per week in our Neutral Bay office.
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual who is looking to work part time whilst studying or is completing their law degree or Practical Legal Training (PLT).
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a legal setting, while developing your skills and knowledge in a legal office environment.
The role is a casual role and is ready for an immediate start.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting solicitors, including research, drafting, and document preparation;
* Conducting legal research and analysis, and providing findings to the lawyers;
* All aspects of file management which will including opening, maintenance, closing and archiving matters;
* Taking client enquiries and calls, and;
* Assisting in miscellaneous day-to-day general office duties.
About you
* Studying / completing a law degree;
* A strong work and academic history as a student;
* Experience working with Microsoft Office;
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information;
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a real passion for learning;
* Exceptional English language skills both written and oral;
* High level of attention to detail, and;
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Desirable
* Taxation and or finance degree;
* Experience in LEAP.
