The Role

Tom Price Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a passionate and highly motivated, strategic Deputy Principal to provide educational leadership across the school and support the Principal to work on improving the school's teaching and learning environment as well as embedding the new school improvement plan.

As an integral member of the executive leadership team, you will work collaboratively with the Principal to drive a culture of continuous school improvement, providing educational leadership in the school and the community by promoting the school's strategic directions. You will be responsible for leading and enhancing our Teaching and Learning focus, providing whole school direction for our attendance initiative, leading data informed positive interventions for student and community well-being and developing a 7-10 approach for individual pathway planning. The ability to build and maintain safe, positive learning environments where students flourish is important for our students' success.

The successful applicant will ideally have a deep belief that every student can achieve success and be able to provide educational leadership to a team that ensures students are engaged and become successful learners. We highly value applicants who have the commitment and desire to create and sustain a student-centred learning environment,who display excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with students, parents and staff, and have the ability to develop and maintain positive and effective partnerships with external agencies, and members of the community.

We are looking for applicants who have experience in successfully driving school improvement. Additionally, applicants who have a strong understanding of whole school improvement and managing student needs within the Multi-Tiered System of Support Framework, will be highly regarded for this role.

Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.

The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
